Two years ago Congress gave themselves a 5 Thousand Dollar Raise per year and told seniors that because there was NO INFLATION, they would NOT receive a ‘COST OF LIVING Adjustments for the next two years!
This is AFTER the Bureau of Labor Statistics REMOVED FOOD & ENERGY from the United States Consumer Price Index.
What I will Feed my family and the Gasoline to get there are two of the most important items on my Index! Have you noticed,… They are not going down?
Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!No more HBO, Cinamax; No more trips to the Theater or Races, so I can pay my Electric & Gas Bill!Thermostat set at 67 in the winter and 78 in the summer because a loaf of bread is the essence!Who can I tax,… … …so I can continue my superfluities?

The average Californian must now work 106 days to pay for taxes in 2011. That is the fifth highest in the nation among the states. Now Governor Brown thinks that instead of making cuts … that we Californians must pay MORE .. and wants new taxes.
The Majority of this board also thinks we are not taxed enough. We cannot tax our way to prosperity in this state or in this community either!
At the last meetingI was talking about union representation when compensation continues to increase with out consideration for the consequences.
Why not Institute a 25% cut across the board for everyone? After all, … The staff pays nothing for their benefits now!ASK the other Districts what they have to pay?
ASK The 130 Teachers who have been laid off in the last two years if they would like to have their jobs back at 75% of what they were paid when they were laid off? ASK the counseling & Locker Room staff who have been just been canned if would they accept a 25% cut in pay to be able to be a part of the system again?
This will leave additional funds to buy more … “DRY” paper goods … AND to close the budget shortfalls without doing it on the backs of people in this community who are struggling to make it in this recession.… … … WITHOUT RAISING their TAXES!
After all, … It ‘IS’ For The Children and their hard working tax paying parents!

First of all, allow me to apologize to the council. I sent out an email to those in the community that I know and in it, it read like I had made the implication that the council had already supported the BOE’s plan when I meant it to say, that we need to gather tonight to request that the council not support the plan. For that … my Apologies.
The English Language is so ambiguous, that what you think I said, Is NOT What I thought I meant! IYKWIM?
I need to preface my address with a little anecdote.
In the sixties I was a journeyman UNION Carpenter working for $3.10 ph AND about a ¼ in benefits. The Business Agent came up to a couple of us with a big smile on his face & said, We just signed a contract with the Associated General Contractors AND in three years we will be making 5 Dollars An Hour!
I look at him incredulously and said, What is wrong with you guys? No one on this Earth is worth $5. All that is going to do is throw me in higher tax bracket! & it Did! 3 years later I was taking home a lesser percentage of my gross check then Before the increase.
Back then you could by two bags of groceries for $10. What can $10 dollars buy you AT the grocery store today?
NOW … let us talk about “The Children”! Last Wednesday I Asked the President of the Board Of Education Barbara Chavez If she was a property owner with her response that “I Was”. I had to ask 2 more times, “ARE YOU?” to which she reluctantly said that she was NOT. I then Asked The Vice President Leticia Garcia If she was a property owner to which she said no! My response was that two of the three tax promoters were not going to have to pay the tax they were demanding Fontana Property Owners to pay!
This is like two wolfs and one sheep voting on what’s for dinner! But Wait a minute there will be other NON PROPERTY OWNERS who will be voting FOR this tax. Watch this! This is not New Math! This is A & B Deciding on what C Will Pay To D. Think about it! It took me a few minutes to get it myself! . . . Ms Garcia let me know later that she was not ashamed of her vote as, “It Was For The Children”!
I would accept the will of my peers, …i.e. property owners, IF the majority of them wished to tax themselves but that is not what we have here. We will be voting as a community to impose taxation on a single group of the community. No group should ever be determined to bear the cost alone. This is wrong and just unfair.
When I went to school and messed up, I got the wooden paddle with holes drilled in it for the miner stuff and was expelled for just a friendly fist fight! Insubordination, disrespect, breaking the rules OR any kind of hoodlum behavior was NOT Tolerated, and there was no School Police!
We find out in the FUSD Schools that the paper goods in the locker rooms have to be >>> >>> removed because they are urinated on! Why do you need school police? TELL ME!

This is the best presentation on ANWR I have seen. I would like to add a little more information.
A new pipeline across Alaska isn’t required since the location for drilling in ANWR is about 160 miles from the North Slope Prudhoe Bay pipeline where it would be connected. Second the wildlife loves The pipeline since it is heated and provides a shelter during the worst times during the winter.

(*e.) Several Trips that we made to Utah, I was always confronted with a spiritual presence that seemed to surround &/or smother those who were aware of it. A friend cried every day for a year, till her husband moved them back to California. The presence seemed to change from one neighborhood (Ward) to the next.
In Tecote BC, Mex. While dealing with building a Church, the president of that Colonia was erratic in dealing with the plans & procedures, until we confronted ‘IT’ with prayer. While in Republic of Belarus (1994&95) the culture & customs, being foreign to what I had been dealing with for over a decade, had me guessing on what was next. Settling into knowing the influence and coming against it, I was able to know my direction more each day. One Sunday afternoon I took a stroll and after about 5 minutes of peace, I shook myself into awareness wondering where the opposition was. A closer (Spiritual) look revealed the enemy, some what at bay, tho waiting for an opportunity of my guard being down. Needless to say, my antennas extended themselves, like being hooked to a ‘Trip Wire’ and my awareness was back on the job.

Twenty votes are required in order to be in the running. Those thirty-nine signatures are now considered as votes, now that filing is closed.
